I last read _Ariel_ a decade or two ago, but I got the impression that
a character does time travel at the end of the book to before the
beginning.

Agreed. I was wondering only because Fargo was their best-known film before
No Country, having been nominated for seven Oscars and having won two.

Lots in Fargo and Blood Simple. None in No Country, which is why it's
nothing like the previous Coen films.
