We've just received word that the official number of entrants for Day 1a is (drumroll please...) 1,116 entrants.
By comparison, 1,297 players entered the Main Event on Day 1a in 2008, 1,287 played Day 1a in 2007 and 2,138 played Day 1a in 2006 (and 1,600 on day 1a in 2005 when I played)

i was giving serious consideration to trying to get odds (big odds) on less than 5000. With all the internet sites having to put the 10k in players accounts .. and the economy , etc ,, I didnt see it setting any records this year
Just when you think that youve been gypped ..the bearded lady comes and does a double back flip!!!

I doubt that less than 5,000 is possible, but under 5,800 is certainly still in play. I think that charrison's over 7k bet is all but lost.

can you believe what a moron he is busting winslow's balls before the bet is determined ..fastest way to get stiffed is by accusing someone that they "might ". he sure has a lot to learn about betting with grown ups .
